Nankin Mills Interpretive Center
Located in Westland just outside of Detroit, was once Henry Ford's first "village industry". I was asked to design all the graphics for each panel. I created much of the artwork myself as well as hiring Terry Vanden Aacker to do the Native Americans and Lori Eslick for some of the Gristmill art.
About the Design Work
It was a blast recreating the birchbark canoe and Lacrosse artwork for the Diorama panels since my only other reference was the tired old art that we've all seen in the history books. I designed each panel while working closely with technical specs required on some of the interactive panels such as the Nature Detective and Native American Diorama Panels.
